Limoncello di Sicilia is the most typical liqueur of our beautiful land of Sicily, produced by Distilleria F.lli Russo in Santa Venerina in the province of Catania. Our land is generous and offers us very fresh lemons all year round, in fact we have as many as four productions of lemons including the “verdello” and the first flower. In addition, our lemons, which come strictly from the Etna area and from organic cultivations, are quite small and their peel is very rich in aromas and intense scents that we manage to capture and transfer into our Limoncello di Sicilia, which becomes a liqueur of rare fragrance, appreciated in Italy and abroad.

The production method is artisanal: the lemons, immediately after harvesting, are selected and peeled by hand, so as to obtain a very thin peel, devoid of the white part that would make the liquor bitter. The skins are immediately immersed in pure alcohol and remain there for several days. Next, the infusion is mixed with a solution of water and sugar.
Limoncello di Sicilia has a yellow-green color and is thick and mellow to the taste. It is served well chilled in small goblets that are also chilled. Its digestive properties make it an excellent end to a meal, also excellent in the preparation of fruit salads
