Pre dinner
They are served as aperitifs, from the Latin aperire (open); many are characterized by the property of stimulating salivation and, consequently, appetite. Unless exceptions are characterized by the prevalence of bitter aromas.

After Dinner
They are served after dinner but this should not be confused with digestives. Aromatic and full-bodied, they represent the perfect end to every meal.

Medium Drink
Served in low tumblers or in Old Fashioned without stems, ideal for “on the rocks” drinks, which means much ice is added.
